Go with the 383. It's been proven thousands of times over, and there's a million upgrade options for it. Plus it's a lot easier to make it work with your setup....

I'm not really planning on romping on it but considering it's going to see plenty of time in the rain and snow, the one wheel wonder will be asking to lose traction.
Chris, the aftermarket for LS-based motors is just as expansive these days.
I'll hold off on deciding till I find out if I get this team lead position or not but I'm definitely leaning towards the 6.0L. On a side note, I did find out that as far as emissions tests goes, they'll just handle it by the year of the motor. Fine by me.93 Suburban (Southern Slayer): TBI 350, 4L60E
