Tailgate Torque Rod
I have a 76 Suburban that I just broke the tailgate torque rod in. I guess they dont last forever. Does anyone know where I get one. I tried LMC and they dont have and unfortunately none of the wreckers around here have any trucks that havent been crushed. My truck has a full length bar (runs along entire bottom of rear tailgate). I believe that Suburbans from 73 to about 90 used the same setup and some blazer/jimmys too although some used a 2 bar setup.
If anybody can help I would really appreciate it. I would even buy a whole tailgate assembly if it came with one.

I don't know much about older GM vehicles and I know nothing about this retailer so take this with a grain of salt:
And I found this Part#: GMK414483776P (but double check with a dealer or someone whom is familiar with that year, make and model) I found this through a simple google search.
