Brutal 24 hours for me. Last night I prepped another load of stuff for storage and this morning I got up at 5am, loaded the truck, then drove 50ish miles to the family lake house. Dropped off some of my dad's favourite donuts for him for breakfast and then I drove to the storage unit and unloaded the truck.

The next stop was the transmission mech's garage, where I dropped off the truck for the day for yet another exciting round of 'can we fix the leak this time?' Dad picked me up and took me to the family lake house from which I planned to work.

Upon arrival I set up my laptop and noted that there was no Internet connectivity. Troubleshooting that, I discovered the ethernet port on the DSL modem was shot. Thankfully I just happened to have a brand new DSL modem in the storage unit ... so back to the storage unit I went. Next was a game of 'figure out the appropriate ADSL settings' for the new modem, since the old modem was configured by way of telnet and, well, you can't telnet into it in order to extract settings when its lone ethernet port is dead.

After that it was work, non-stop. I never ate lunch. I never got dinner, either, because my truck was ready for pickup at dinner time. Oh, and then I had to clean up under the truck so I could watch for leaks across the next few days, fill it with fuel, and drive 50ish miles back home.

I had hoped to be able to install the dash cam this weekend, but the TFT display I ordered (so I can view what the camera sees ... and aim it) was DOA. Meh. At least the alternator bracket I fleabayed arrived early ... so I can maybe get some OBA work done, instead.

Ugly day. And if you read all of that, well, you just read me releasing all the stress from the day; banging out this wall of text was cathartic.

You got me. Turns out we actually have a full weekend for once. So I hope to get some work done on the Camaro on Saturday, before heading to my best friend's house for a Selection Sunday party. My sideshields for my glasses should be in tomorrow (Coming up on the time of year where my eyes will swell up due to allergies for about two weeks and make my contacts useless so I'll need those on my glasses for work), and an Indiana Hoosiers shirt should be in next week for the start of the NCAA tournament.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. Hope your day today is less hectic. Curky is next.

I'd imagine Curky is tied up with things pertaining to his dog, as I recall the appointment was scheduled for today. Family first ... as it should be.

Just wanted to say hello. It was a tough morning, still a little rough. Need a drink,lol not before noon is my rule. Im going to try and get that review up today with some picks. Surreal again.
