Need help before I screw anything else up!!!!!!!!!!
Ok where to start? A few weeks ago my steering box went out on my 04 silverado, I took the old box out and in the middle of replacing it someone (not mentioning who) spun the wheel. Yesterday I put on the new gear box and now not only does the service air bag light come on but my stereo will not turn off and my speedometer says im doing 85mph. With the stereo problem it will not turn off with the key out and door open nor will the doors chime if key is left in or lights are on. I have narrowed it down from being the door switch because when passenger door is opened nothing happens but with both doors the dome light does turn on. I drove the truck yesterday and the speedometer worked fine. but now i noticed that it is stuck at 85 but all other gauges seem to be working fine. If anyone can tell me what the problem is i would greatly appreciate it.

If the steering wheel got turned theres a good chance the clock spring in the steering wheel is broken.
This particular item has wiring for anything that has a control on your steering wheel, including the airbag.
