    Default Light Sensor Replacement

Anyone know how to replace the auto headlight sensor on the dash on a 2002 -2500 HD ?

On my '05 Envoy, and on my '09 Av, the front strip of the dash was separate from the main body of the dash.

Just a little prying, and the strip would lift. The sensor just pushed (from below) into the dash strip.

See if yours is 2 pieces.

I know that you have to remove the dash cover for a 2004 GMC Sierra in order to get to the connection and remove it. It's about a 20-30 min operation and not difficult, at all.

I posted instructions in the electrical forum in your other duplicate post. The Mods will probably delete one as cross posting is not allowed.

i just did the resistor mod on my 2000 silverado 1500, if its like my truck you just have to remove the entire dash to access the sensor (only about 14 or 15 screws) real simple like surreal said, and the sensor will be right there to either replace.... or in my case disable
