Thread: Exhaust setup??
06-25-2012, 01:48 PM #1
So my 99 5.7 suburban is in need of some new exhaust, I have just put a super 10 on my pickup and really like the sound of it, unfortunatly they dont come in a dual in application. I have a di/do muffler currently as this was how the factory was set up atleast the dual in part. I think i want to go back to a single tailpipe but I dont want to do dual mufflers. i am assuming i could just do a y pipe, dual 2.25 (factory intermediate size)into a single 3 inch and then into the 3 in/out super 10 to the tailpipe. Any thoughts........99 K1500 Suburban LT "THE BEAST"

i dont hear many people wanting to go from duals to single. but what you mentioned sounds like the best one to me. you can get a y pipe off ebay for $30 maybe even cheaper. i just got one for $35 with shipping included same size your asking and its a 304 stainless y pipe. That would be the cheapest way without having to buy two super 10's for over $100.Lawrence Lee,United States Navy, Engineering.
