Audible exhaust leak
Under acceleration I can hear what sounds like an exhaust leak around the bell housing, back of the engine area. I have rolled all around the bottom of my burb checking the exhaust and I haven't found anything. I am thinking that woven fiberglass covered pipe on the driver's side that runs from the back of the exhaust manifold to the front of the intake manifold maybe the culprit. what else could it be???

Have you checked the flange that connects the ehaust to the manifold?

Oh yeah, that was what I first thought that it was. It's okay.

Could be a crack in the intake manifold. I had one on the drivers side a while back that was driving me crazy. I checked everything but the manifold for a couple of months. Finally one day I noticed the crack and it surprised me at how obvious it was once I knew it was there.

Take a short peace of garden hose and try crawling under there with it to your ear, move the other end to anywhere you think there might be a leak. You will hear it.
