V3500??¿¿¿?

I have attempted to use the search button but no results came up. I am sure this question has come up before but I cannot find any real information as to what the difference is between the truck i just bought, (crew cab 8 ft bed 1988 v 3500) and a k series 3500. any information regarding this would be very much appreciated!

I think the K designates 4 wheel drive, but hopefully someone else can confirm.

For some reason, GM has done different things over the years and body styles (I'm not sure why they can't just pick a way to do it and stick with it). From what I can tell, basically:
K=V=4x4
C=R=4x2

You mean the way they also change names...blazer, Tahoe, s10 blazer, Yukon?
