Low Fuel Warnig Light Info Request
First of all, I hope this is the proper venue to post my question. If I am in error posting here please advise and I will re-post.
My vehicle is an 07 GMC Sierra Classic W/T. The tank is rated as holding 34.4 gallons. After checking my dtiver's manual thoroughly I cannot ascertain how much fuel is left after the low fuel warning light comes on. I have asked the dealer where I bought the truck and haven't received a reply. My gas guage not working and I'm trying to burn the fuel down to a low level to make it easier to drop the tank. But I also don't want to to run out of fuel.

Well, to answer your question...when the light comes on, pull into a station and fill the tank. Subtract what you put in from 34.5 and you have the amount that was in the tank when the light came on.
However, if your are worried about dropping the tank, when the light comes on, you can drop the tank. There will not be much in the tank.Ray
