    Default U Joints are noisy

Hey guys. Newbie to the Forum and I have a question and/or need advise. I have a 2006 Silverado 2500 HD 4x4 with less than 70000 on it. I use for hunting and lite 4x4'ing. My rear u joint started making a loud squealing noise. I removed the drive shaft from the rear end and verified that it was the cause of the squealing. While under there if found the front seal on my rear end has a slight leak and the drivers side rear axle seal is leaking. Most if not all the work I can do myself, but are there any "After Market" products that would be better than the "Factory" replacement parts? Any advise from experience would be appreciated.

You're welcome! Let's hope you get some responses soon. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with your problem but I am sure that someone who is will see this shortly.

Use only Spicer brand u-joints, might as well buy them from the guys who invented them, they're are the best on the market. As for seals, I've never had an issue using Timkin.
