You got to love USA-trucks to own one over here.
    46000+3000(transport)+3% import-taxes and 3000(import-cost:
You have to get it to Germany first because in Belgium they only alow vehicles that already have a EU certifacte, and Belgium does not give out certifactes without EU-conformity,but Germany does, bla, bla, bla, bli, bli, bli, go figure
Then you have to get it true technical control in Belgium
    then 21% vat.
and the redicules gains(up to 20000$) made by US-cars dealers(because of the above, that almost nobody nows how to do themselves, the proccess takes up to a year)
total makes for 65000 euro at 1.32
And 4000 euro for a lpg-install because premium(98 oct) is about 8.75$ per gallon and lpg is only 3$
So it's not just love it's insanity

No wonder American vehicles are not that widespread in Europe. Sometimes I wonder if we here in the US should impose ridiculous taxes to make foreign cars TOO EXPENSIVE to buy.

Man, THAT is dedication! If you don't mind me asking....what do you do when a part is needed? It's not like here where you can just hop in the truck and mosey on down to the dealership. Would this kind of (what I would imagine) inconvenience deter you from keeping your ride for the long haul?

My hat is off to you, sir.

My buddy was stationed in Germany with the USAF. He took his cougar over there and had a hell of a time fixing it. He has since shipped it to Hawaii and is going to be shipping it back to main land in a few years lol

How many folks would buy that $50K Lexus if the taxes after purchase were $40K?

The foreigners would scream "UNFAIR, UNFAIR". Apparently it's only unfair in the US, over in Europe or Japan it's called "looking out for your own".

Well Treitz3, same as with complete cars we have some "shops" here that buy parts cheap in the states and sell with big profit over here.
Since i got a US-truck for more then 12 years and know the tricks by now,i order directly true rockauto, summit, jegs and others,my new trans is from Trutech, yes i pay transport, tax and tav but then it is still cheaper then buying parts here.
I would come and live in the states but your governement is a bit like mine over here,(on that part)you have to be really rich or really poor to get in,just hardworking folks ain't worth peanuts.
