    Default Quadrajet Sensor questions...

I recently obtained a new M4ME quadrajet... it is NOT a CCC quadrajet...

There is a sensor on the top of the carb that is from what i can find the mixture control solenoid for simple cold starts (which i need here in wyoming in the near future) .... What does this connect to?

This appears to be what it connects to... but.... what else does it connect to??? I feel so stupid for even asking but is it a temperature sensor??? That is what my guess is, but i cant get a simple yes or no... or even a part number. I did get some info about it opening up at 170 degrees but... what do the wire leads connect to??? I will be visiting the local junkyard soon but just looking for answers.

Thank you... and NO it is not a CCC carb, it does not have the 3 pin on the front of the carb.

okay... this is what else i have found... now where the hell does this sensor plug into??? I was looking and the only coolant flow hole that i can find (edlebrock intake) is on the water pump itself.

Is this the proper place for the sensor? Anyone know how to wire it so it gets power?
