Hello from Texas
Hi all... I am new to this forum, my name is Matt and I'm from Wichita Falls, TX.
I previously owned a 1996 Chevy S10 4.3 5spd ext cab, sold it with 171000 miles on it.
My new (to me) purchase was a 2007 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado Classic LS, Crew Cab 4x4, which has the 4.8L engine. It currently has 35000 miles on it.
I waited 7 years to get a full size truck, and I love it... I want to try to squeeze some more HP from it, and not affect the mileage too much, right now I'm getting about 16.5mpg average.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of your rides and get some good advice.

matt and congrats on the new truck. I've got a similar one but gmc version and 2wd. Don't feel to bad about your MPG I'm averaging 11.75

Welcome to the forum. Mileage sounds about right, depending on the type or driving you do of course. Most performance mods (tune, intake, exhaust), shouldn't hurt your mileage. If anything, they may improve it slightly. The rest is up to the driver.

I know it has taken a little bit, but with the holidays and the finalization of a divorce I've been a little busy
Anyway, here are a couple of pics of my truck - if you look in the bottom pic, the oil spots were from the previous S10... LOL
I've put a tri-fold Torza bed cover on since these pics. Hopefully Uncle Sam will be nice and give me a nice refund this tax season and I can get some 18" wheels to go with some tires I bought.
