Thread: a/c problem

  1. #1

    Default a/c problem

The a/c blows hot air on leftside but cold on right at times.

If I shut truck off it goes back to normal.

This is a common issue with the blend doors overtraveling, sticking, or their actuators going bad. In your case it's the driver's side. I've heard there's a reset procedure for this, but as my issue was a dead passenger side blend door actuator (i.e. turning the truck off/on wouldn't help), I'm unfamiliar with the reset procedure. (You can read more about the actuators and such here, if interested: http://www.gmtruckclub.com/forum/sho...erados-Sierras).

If I were you I'd be sure to dig around with Google to find and try a reset procedure before spending any cash on this, as your actuator is clearly working, for now...
