OK, so I'm going to buy the new filter and replace it before the flush. To my knowlage the transmission has been serviced properly by the original owner. He was very knowledgeable about his car and took very good care of it. @Enkeiavalanche I will deffentally contact him in the future to help me out.

As for your ride height issue, shocks do not have anything to do with the ride height. If your truck is setting lower, your springs have sagged, and will have to be replaced.

The leaf springs could be re arched to get the stock height back. It will not be a permanent thing because eventually (could be a few years down the road) and they will sag again. Another option would be to add a lift block in the rear to get that height back.

So pretty much in the end all Tahoe will need new rear springs. Also just dropped my truck off at Devon for the injection cleaning, a/c check and charge, and tranny flush. I had a half hour conversation with the head mechanic about the flush he said that he almost guarantees that it wont hurt the transmission unless there is a prior condition like damaged clutch or the fluid is burned.

Sagging springs is not just a Tahoe issue. It can be an issue for any vehicle with leaf springs.

I know it is an issue with all trucks really but I meant that now my Tahoe will need new springs inevitably. Also on another note A/C is fixed the system was totally discharged because the original owner had replaced the compressor and seems he never put in the new Freon. The truck sounds great and shifts much cleaner after the two flushes. But learned a couple things about the truck, she always has a surprise, the distributor cap is off by a tad and it may be causing a code i need to check that out, the oil filter adapter gasket is almost totally gone and is leaking pretty bad, they say the truck may have a new intake system because it just doesn't look right is what the mechanic said. But over all the truck seems to be running fine.

@SurrealOne has it on his truck. I am sure he wouldn't mind answering any questions you may have. I do know that he was very happy after he got it installed.

They are awesome. I had one on my last '95. I am going to get one for my current '95 and another one for my Express van. It's like having multiple monitors on your computer... Once you have them, it's hard to go back.
