exhaust cold air and a custom tune is your best bet for some power on a budget and with a custome tune you will be able to remove your govner. i would recommend talking bb tunning the are great to deal with and they are a vendor on our site.

Get a handheld programmer and a custom tune. You'll gain some MPG's that'll pay for the programmer and tune slowly over time (in fuel savings) and you'll get a little bit of power, too, I suspect. You can also have the limiter changed, that way.

    Oh, and welcome to GMTC!

Cold Air Intake has just been order. ( K&N Stage 1), I have flowmaster exhaust on the truck, and I also just talked to one of the guys down the road from my work ( Monster Clutch/ SNL Performance (they mostly do tuner cars and alot of GTO)) but he said he can tune my truck and knock off the govner for about 200$. Which is okay in my budget but is it worth it in the long run. He says it will add MPG and also boost my HP.

    Thanks for the feedback.
