    I second that.... the fastest way to a tranny rebuild it not to change the fluid as the owners manual states..... a proper rebuild on our trannies is about 2.5- 3k so $150 to a tranny flush/ replace the fluid is cheap.

    Agreed the #1 killer of transmissions is heat and dirty fluid. Owners manual says replace tranny fluid every 100,000 miles in light conditions, while towing it should be replaced every 50,000 miles. I'm putting so much emphasis on keeping my tranny going I'm spending about $600 on a cooling system that I designed with cooling fans, tranny coolers and even a deep transmission pan.
