Default Liquid Glass Metallic Seal-Up How good is it on cracked blocks

i got a block that i welded up but it still has some little pin holes in it. and i tried to weld it again with no success of fixing the holes in it. well to make a long story short i had a mechanic tell me to get some of this Liquid Glass Metallic Seal-Up and go by the directions and it will take care of the holes in the block.

my question is how many has used this and how good does it really work? i like to find out before i go through with it and have to buy a other engine again.

When the government did the cash for clunkers thing they used liquid glass to destroy the motors of cars that were turned in. I am sure that they used more then recommended. My friend worked at a GM dealer during the promotion. They drove them to a back lot. Poured a bottle of liquid glass in the oil and red lined them until the motor blew. I have not heard of anyone using it for a long time before that. Maybe some of the older guys can shed some light on the subject.

I would consider it to be a temporary fix at best. I have never seen any sort of leak sealer that was designed to be a "fill and forget" solution. If you decide to try it, I wouldn't drive any further away than you are willing to pay to be towed back from.
