    Default LED cluster swap. Finally.

I got a bit of time and some LED's and finally swapped out my cluster and A/C controls. Now for the pictures!

I decided to test at the halfway point and you can tell how bright these things are!

I wouldn't say they are any "brighter" than stock but they are a much more vibrant color. The film gives them a blueish tint that I ended up liking.

This is the other reason why I don't really have a problem with the blueish tint. It matches the rest of the truck. The A/C controls brightened up a lot after the swap. I really like how it turned out.

Sorry, all I managed to snap was iPhone pictures. It was drizzling and I didn't feel like setting up the DSLR and tripod in the backseat...

Also, I ended up with a few leftover LED so I swapped out my brothers '96 Tacoma gauges as well. They were twist lock and didn't want to play nice. I managed to get the cluster and the A/C controls though. Pictures of that soon I suppose.

Nice work, I like the bright blue. I did my cluster about a month ago, my bulbs twisted out and were easy to replace, were yours soldered in?

They are actually white LED's. The film over the cluster gives them a blue haze. I did have to solder them in. I had plenty of room to work with inside the cluster so attaching a resistor and an LED on each solder plate was no problem. Here's an inside picture to show what I mean.

Looks great Cheez, I swapped out my cluster for one that already had the mods I wanted. Nice to see the upgrades your doing thanks for the pictures.

Nice. I did the same thing to mine before I left last June. Came out great but I have to get one more socket. Have the bulb just not the socket.
