I have a 2.2 Ltr 1995 S10 and the alternator went out on me. Charging gauge on dash flat lined while I was driving. When I got it home I disconnected the battery while it was running and the truck died. I had it tested and it was definitely bad. I replaced it with a reconditioned one. Now the car is over charging (Approximately 17 volts) and the lights are pulsing. Also, the car is slightly surging. You can especially hear it with the air conditioning blower. It's like small waves. Truck seems to run alright otherwise. Any ideas what might be causing this?
