    Default Tow with an HHR?

Anyone ever tried to tow a small trailer with their HHR?
The wife and I are planning a trip to Key West FL. next spring and we'd like to tow my Harley on a small trailer to my nephews place in Central Fl. then ride down and back on the Harley with my nephew and my cousin on bikes.
I've seen trailer hitch's for HHR's but I havent seen anyone towing with one yet.
Whether their at the max limit or not I'm sure the trailer and bike will be about all I want to put behind the car since it's only a 4cyl with an automatic.

The towing capacity of the HHR is only 1000lbs.

In theory, it's the actual application part that's got me wondering!!

Well your back up plan should be use your Silverado, you wouldn't even need the trailer!

The back-up plan is to use the Nova, theres a large Chevy get together happening in Jacksonville Fl. around the same time.
I know the Nova can handle the weight I towed with one many years ago.

While I haven't towed anything with an HHR, I did drive one for a couple weeks and I'd liken it very closely to my Saturn ION. Both the ION and HHR have the same motor (or the HHR has the ION's bigger brother motor) and roughly the same chassis. That said, I've pulled a 4x6 trailer loaded down with several hundred pounds of metal on it before with no issue. I think the HHR should do it fine too.
