    Default AC blowing hot air

Intermittently my a/c for my 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd blows hot air out of the drivers side, and cold air out of the passengers side when I turn on the a/c.
I read somewhere there is a reset trick to resolve a "blend door issue". Does this sound like a typical remedy, and where can I locate this reset instruction?
Is there a more common problem, or place to read the instructions for diagnosing the actual problem?

    Thank you in advance

You can try to recalibrate your actuator. Try this:

4.56 Gears with Detroit Auburn Locker-Pro-Comp Traction Bars with duel shocks-Aluminum Skid Plate Kit-38.5" x 16.5" Mickey Thompson Baja Claws-Constant Dropping fuel gauge

2005 Yukon XL Jet Power Programmer, Bilstein Shocks, Bilstein rear springs, Helwig Anti-sway bars, EGR Window Visors, EGR Hood Shield, Denali Headlights, Headlight harness upgrade, GE NightHawk Bulbs, White Night Rear lighting system, Russell Braided SS brake lines, PowerStop Brake pads, PowerStop cross drilled and Slotted Rotors,

If reclaibration doesn't permanently resolve it then it's time to replace the driver's side blend door actuator.
