I have a 01 silverado, Can I put just any ls1 intake on my truck or do I need something special? And what do I have to do to put electric fans on and take the belt driven fan off?

I have something similar to what you are talking about but it's in my 05' Silverado, I swapped my 70mm throttle body out for an 85mm throttle body from GMPP. It bolted right up to the existing holes with an adapter plate that came with it, and then when I went to put my K&N CAI on I had an adapter milled to fit the aftermarket intake up to the throttle body. I could have bought the Corvette intake for it and shaved the tube down, but those Corvette intakes are super expensive. I also have the dual electric fans on my truck which allows clearance for the extra adapters, that setup will not fit on your truck with the mechanical fan. Basically I think it was a huge waste of money, but it was a fun swap to do, and yes it does need the air/fuel ratio to be drastically adjusted.

Here is a link to kind of describe what I am talking about: http://www.bbkperformance.com/products/?car_motor_key[]=537&car_motor_key[]=693&car_motor_key[]=784&category_key=2
