I have a 2001 silverado 4x4 5.3l extended cab. Just recently it started to make a noise in the front end when driving, it only makes the noise while going forward. No noise in reverse or when turning in either direction in drive or reverse. Its a rotational noise? with speed of truck.:grrrrrr:

Wheel bearing, brake pads rubbing, cb joints there's a lot of things that can be making this noise. Is your ABS light on?

It could be a brake backing plate rubbing. Does the sound change when you put it in 4x4?
