Greetings everyone, new here but not new to forums or turning wrenches. My recently acquired '02 S-10 runs great, blows COLD A/C, all vent positions work as they should but I discovered yesterday morning I have no heat (Chilton book was a waste) and searching here I haven't found any answers. Where is the heater valve or is it a vacuum operated set up ?

Thanks in advance and as time goes on I'll help where I can, I'm also a "denizen" at BenzWorld :great:

I forgot to mention my truck has the 4.3 and 4 speed automatic. While outside tinkering I found that while it gets to operating temp the hoses are all cold, no thermostat or one that is stuck open, never had a problem like this before

The blend door acuator is my first thought

Thermostat Stuck open is my next. Does your truck run cooler than it used to.

Are you positive that the blend switch that makes it go from cold to hot is working properly?

Did it stop working suddenly or did it gradually quit working
