04 silverado acceleration problem

    Hey Pikey,

    Quick tip for you. If you're goal is to just quickly clear the ECM codes, Once you disconnect the battery, push the horn and brake pedal with the key in the ON position. This will suck all of the stored electricity from the capacitors immediately, and clear the long term ECM codes. Sure beats wondering "did I wait long enough, yet?"

    Depending on where the code is stored, you may wait a long time for the capacitors to discharge long enough to clear the long term.
