All 1500 Trucks 2WD's and 4WD's have been running with 6-lug Rims for Sometime now.........Regarding a 2WD having the Z71 Off-Road Package......G.M. Offer's 2....Z71 Packages, the first one is the Z71 Off-Road Suspension Package and the 2nd is the Z71 Appearance Package, which can be Ordered on a 2WD.

I have a Sierra, so some of the euipment may be different, I do have the skid plates, fog lamps, tow hooks, and the better shocks in the rear, along with the G80 rear end. Mine also came with 17" wheels and all-terrain tires. The decals on the rear say Z71, they do not have off-road or 4x4 on them. Also mine is a reg cab with the SE package. Basically what the dealer said was that this truck replaced the heavy half package that GM did years ago, whether that is true or not I don't know.
