My neighbor totaled his 2005 2500hd 4x4 and is parting the truck out. Would I be able to install the 2500hd springs in my 2005 1500 4x4 replacing the 1500 springs? Will this give me any lift?

I want the heavier springs because I plan on putting a sled deck in the truck, and it is cheaper to buy his springs than buy new ones or add a leaf. Will this work?

    Thanks dan

What configuration is your truck (RC, ECSB, ECLB,CCSB or CCLB)? The HD springs will probably give you about 1.5" of lift in the rear and will be a little harsh when your rig is empty.

Measure them first!!!! I think the 2500 HD springs are a few inches longer and won't line up with the shackles correctly.

2500HD springs are 63" eye to eye and if his cab configuration is anything except a RCSB then they will fit, however I do agree, it never hurts to measure first as engineers just love to change things.

Measure the eye to eye length of the springs in your truck and the HD springs you want to put in your truck. If they both measure 63" long then the 2500HD springs will work, however be aware that your ride quality will not be as good with the HD springs but your payload capacity will increase.

im almost sure they will fit because they dont make a SCSB 2500 and about the ride quality, who buys a 4x4 truck for the ride. My truck rides horible because i have the t-bars cranked and a add a leaf. doesnt bother me one bit. try riding in a 7ton . now thats a rough ride. lol
