17-inch wheels on 2007 Vmax, will they fit?

I have a 2007 new body style Silverado. My truck is a Vmax. It came with 20-inch wheels and disc brakes all around (bigger I think than the regular truck?) Will any 17-inch GM 6-bolt rims fit on my truck and over the brakes. I want to get a set for winter tires.

Your truck has the same brakes as the non Vmax trucks. 17s will fit

The VortecMax trucks have 4 wheel disc brakes rather than rear drum brakes, so those are a bit different, but they are still designed to work with 17" wheels. The NHT package (trailering equipped version of the VortecMax) was only available with 17" wheels to make it better for towing, but had the same rear disc brakes as the normal VortecMax with the 20" wheels.
