Thanks for the props, guys. Its a 525ci Big block Chevy (built from a 427 tall deck TRUCK block!). It runs 9.0's at about 150mph, it weighs 3100lbs with me in it. It's naturally aspirated on alcohol. Lots of fun, and at least at my track, quicker than alot (actually most) of the cars...hehehe:glasses:
However, there is a truck out there that is waaaay more bad ass. A 4x4 drag truck, you have to see it for yourself. Check out this link:

    73 Drag truck

Your truck looks real good with the wheels up launch:great:. Love the smell of race fuel and tire smoke ! Had a 71 Vega that ran 11.88 and if they woulda let me I'd have went right back to the tree and run her till the motor melted, what a blast the drag strip was.

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've been here. My computer crashed and I lost everything on it.... I did take 2010 off from drag racing and built a new tube chassis for the truck, and updated the front sheet metal. There are some new pics in my album. I had the engine freshened up and it's back on race gas. The alky was a little too "abrasive" to alot of the internals, even though I was diligent about maintenance. It should weigh about 2850lbs going down the track, and I hope it will run low 8's on the motor. I will spray it to run 7.99. It's good to be back here!

well, 2012 racing season came and went...best I could do was 8.74 at 154mph. Decided not to spray it to get that 7.99. It's not the engine's fault that it is too small..lol.
I've decided that for 2013 I will cut off the fleetside short box and update the look a little with an '02 stepside...hopefully the composite fenders are lightweight!
