1978 chevy 4x4 3/4 full time 4x4

    Can lockouts be put on this truck? If not you could take out the front driveshaft right?

    Some of it depends on what you are trying to do.

    Way back when, I remember helping my dad put a full time to part time conversion kit into his NP203. This kit included front hub lockouts.

    If you "just" remove the front driveshaft, the differential in the transfer case will send all power through the path of least resistance (the front output), and nothing will happen. If you remove the front driveshaft and put the t-case in Hloc, then it will be like driving a regular rear wheel drive 4x2.

    What are you wanting to accomplish here?
