:confused:I HAVE A 1986 SCOTTSDALE 4X4 WITH A REBUILT 350,I HAD TO REPLACE THE MANIFOLD WITH A EDELBROCK #3701 ,IT ALSO HAS THE STOCK QJET ON IT, THE CHOKE ADAPTER PLATE WHICH WOULD BE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE INTAKE,WHICH I DONT NEED,KEEPS BLOWING OUT THE GASKET(EDELBROCK KIT # 8901),THIS WILL BE THE 4TH TIME ,I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY,I USE HI TEMP SEALENT AND THREAD LOCKER BUT THE GASKET STILL BLOWS AFTER ABOUT 500 MILES AND THE 2 ALLEN BOLTS ARE LOOSE,EVERYTHING ELSE IS STOCK ON THE ENGINE,RUNS GOOD BUT GETS ABOUT 8 TO 9 MILES TO THE GALLON,POOR GAS MILAGE,HAS ANY ONE HAVE A FIX OR HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS, I AM A NEW MEMBER,

Welcome to the site. Your intake could be heat cycling causing the screws to loosen. Which results in the gasket blowing. I know it happens to exhaust headers. After so many heat cycles (warming up and cooling down) re tighten the screws. You could drill a small hole in each screw head and safety wire the screws together so they don't loosen up.
