I recently bought a 1992 GMC Sierra extended cab pickup. Previous owner did not know what he was doing when he replaced the brakes himself, so when I pulled the drum to fix it, there were no springs installed other than the two hold down springs! I bought new pads and a spring kit, but I am not sure where the springs need to be connected on the shoes as I have nothing to reference. I have a Chiltons manual, but it is not very clear as to where the upper and lower return springs go. It is the leading / trailing drum brake not the duo-servo on this. Any input will be appreciated.
