20" rims on 2004 chevy

    Hi,new to the site here.I have a 2004 chevy silverado 1500 z71 crew cab.I have the Rough Country full leveling kit on it.I just traded my buddy my 17" XD Addict rims for his 20" XD monster rims they are 20x9.I belive they are rubbing the caliper.any one else have this problem? I can hear what sounds to me like metal rubbing a little.any help ould be great. Thanks

    I would bet that the problem is the brakes are coverd in Brake dust causing the noise. since a 20in rim isnt even close to the rotor.

    I forgot to mention this, it only makes the noise when i turn to the left.

    Then it sounds more like they are rubbing on a suspension component. the only easy way to find out where they are rubbing is to take the wheel off and see if there is a clean mark on a suspension part. that will let you know what is rubbing where.

    x2 i agree take a good look behind the tires with wheel turned and should see clearly where the rubbing is at.

    X3, sounds like suspension rubbing. The backspacing is most likely to deep.
