My wife took the truck through the local carwash and when she was driving away she said that it started shaking violently and the check engine light came on. She was in traffic so she accelerated and it started to clear up. After a minute or so the check engine light went off and it ran smoothly. Any ideas? I just replaced the plugs last week and ensured all of the wires were snug and secure. It has 105,000 miles. Thanks for any input.

Wet ignition system? Hard to diagnose when the symptoms go away. Take a look under the hood at night and look for leaks in the ignition system. You could try and duplicate it by wetting the engine down.

My wife said that the burb ran fine today. no problems whatsoever. I think that maybe since it was about 15F outside that all of the vapor from the hot water in the cold air confused the MAF sensor and after a minute it clear up. Guess I'll just keep an eye on it for the next few days.
