2001 Chevy Auto Ride

Hey guys, I have two questions that I can't seem to find the answer for and hope that someone can provide some insightful info. I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe LT with the Auto Ride feature. If I pull the fuse for the Auto Ride, can I just replace the shocks with after-market non auto ride replacements?

    Thanks......

you can just replace them. you can wire a resistor is line so you don't have to pull the fuse and you will not get a error message. I am not sure on the tahoe. But, on my 05 yukon xl I had to replace the rear coil springs when I switched the rear shocks. This was because of the "premium smooth ride" suspension that used a special shock that held the weight of the vehicle. I recommend bilstein shocks for replacements.
