hey guys, i have a problem.

The suburban quit running this morning leaving my wife stranded.

It cranks normally and will runs for a few seconds at a very low idle and then die. I shot gas into the air intake with no difference. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

My money is on the fuel pump.

I would check Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter as well as a first check of things.

yes, you are right. there is voltage at the connector by the rear of the tank and no fuel pressure.

    how do you change it?

    thanks for your help

You will have to drop the tank.

Then there is a lock ring that you have to turn counter-clockwise.
Then the sending unit will lift up and the pump is attached to the sending unit.

One recommendation I would make is that if you are gonna do the pump, go ahead and do the sending unit.

Also, be sure to tighten that grounding wire back to the frame when finished.
I forgot to do that with mine and caused me some issues. :D
