Need help! Swaped engine in my 1999 gmc jimmy with a 2001 engine ...get a code p0327 knock sensor ..I see the harness is a one wire (1999) (2001) has two wires.. how do I get the 2001 sensor to work with 1999 one wire? Or is the 1999 knock sensor compatible with the 2001 engine and keep the one wire harness

Well, never tried to switch 'em, but I think I would go with whatever sensor the truck wants to talk to, rather than trying to make the sensor in the engine work with the truck.
But, in typing this, I'm thinking the second wire is maybe a ground. The one wire sensor is case grounded and the two wire sensor is case insulated and has the ground wired in. But, just a guess.
    What are the wire colours?

They should be identical...maybe you're missing a wire to the 2nd sensor and thats why you're getting the code?

    I have done this swap.
Use the knock sensor that fits the harness.
