2001 Suburban rear end whine

    Got the old diff out.
    The pinion bearings are bad. They were very noisy.
    I will replace the pinion and gear bearings for a tutorial later.

    Tomorrow I will install the used diff.

    Happy with the used diff. It's quiet as a mouse from 45-75mph. Not bad for $240 and two days of my labor.
    I'll be happy if I can get another 50k miles out of the used diff.

    I hope it will give me enough time to change the pinion and ring gear bearings on the original diff.
