I was wondering if any one else out there has had problems with their automatic tranny. I recently had to replace mine that has a whole 57404 miles on it. The truck is used as a commuter and to tow a small aluminum fishing boat.I have always been a huge GM truck man, but am feeling my loyalty waning. Please let me know if you have any similar stories. Thanks............

Welcome to the site! If you get a chance, fill out the "signature" portion in the User CP section, that way everyone will have a better idea of your vehicle and can offer more help. I have a 2004 with 122000 miles w/o any tranny troubles and have pulled some pretty heavy loads. At 57000 miles you shouldn't have any problems. Good luck!

Inall honesty,I am not suprised. The stock 4L60E transmission in the 1500 trucks are not strong in stock form at all.IMO they are ticking time bombs, you never know when they will go.
They could last 10,000 miles or over 100,000 miles, there is no telling with these stock 60E trannys
IMO get a good quality built tranny and be done with it.
