2004 2500HD Diesel - Having to prime fuel filter to start

    Latley I have been having to prime the fuel filter to start truck. Is the fuel pump expiring?

    I had the same problem with my 05 LLY duramax after I changed my fuel filter I noticed I had left the old O-ring on the drain plug. After I put the new O-ring on I had to prime it for the first 2-4 starts but after that it has started every time no problem. I hope that helps!
