Just bought a 2005 Yukon XL in April. About 1 month ago the driver's side door started to click VERY loudly when opening. The clicks happen at each hinge stopping position (about 3). Tried WD-40 but doesn't work. My extended warranty doesn't cover door issues. Hoping maybe to find out some fixes.

Thanks for the info '99! Do you mind me asking how much did the new hinge cost and were you able to do the work yourself?

Sounds like what was happening on my wifes Trailblazer driver side passenger door. I tried lubing the exposed part of hinge, didnt help. Than I removed the rubber seal around the hinge ( it just slides off on the Trailblazers) put the window up and sprayed lube on the hinge part in side the door. It worked. Slide the rubber seal back on.
