Any known problems with cylinder 5 misfiring at 70 thousand km or so?What could be problem and any GM recall on it?

I have not heard of that issue. But, I did a little research on it and found tons of info. It seems that the heads on those 5 cylinders have valve seats that are not hard enough and wear early. I am not saying that this is your issue. You need to rule out a coil pack , spark plug, and fuel delivery problem. After that I would suggest doing a cylinder leak down test on each cylinder, with the cylinder being tested being at Top Dead Center. From the info I found cylinder 5 and cylinder 2 are the cylinders with the known issues.
