Hi all. I'm new to the forum, and new to owning Chevy.

I purchased new a 07 Classic Silverado in Oct 06. Within 2,000 miles oil started leaking. Warranty of course covered the fix, which I was told was a gasket.

Another leak at 4,000 miles. Fixed.

Since then, the dealer added dye to the crank case and has checked for additional leaks each time the truck has been in for oil changes.

Nothing until 24,000 miles. Now another leak. They say it could be a warped oil pan or something else. I will be getting it fixed on Wednesday.

I called Customer Service GM and started the process of informing them so they can speak with the dealer that has been fixing it, so they can make a decision as to whether it will be a lemon or not.

Has anyone heard or experienced such a rapid oil leak problem on a new truck, is this a recurring problem for other models?

I can not find anything for recalls on an oil leak issue.

I have a 2009 doing the same thing. And it has around 5,000 miles now. I got GM involved also. I took it in around 4500 miles, and they supposedly fixed it. But now it leaks worse than before.

Who knows what they'll do next.
