2008 Silverado Braking Issues

    Im going to give it a shot this weekend. Ill let you know how I make out.

    Sorry about the delay but I have been trying all sorts of methods and tricks to get rid of this braking issue. I've narrowed it down to the rear drums, They are not staying adjusted.
    Im not sure if it something to do with the self adjusting, or cylinder. Help lol

    the drums may be worn. if the shoes are worn only at the top then you need new drums. if you have a good sized ridge on the outer edge making it difficult to remove the drums this is also an indicator of this .

    with worn drums the front rotors can get damaged from over working.

    when asbestos was used on shoes the drums lasted about 80,ooomiles. today you lucky to get 40,ooo in typical stop/go traffic city driving. metal shoe material and soft chinese steel.
