Just another one for you to look at. I've got this in my truck and I like it. Mine is just the cheapest one with no arms or anything like that. http://www.rat-cage.com/originalSeries.asp 4 mounts bolt to the bed floor, comes with quick release pins to take it out which are the same size as the long shackle master locks so its easy to secure everything. The bottom of the tire is still a couple inches off the bed floor too so I can slide stuff under it and use the legs to strap things down in the bed.

That rat cge takes up a lot of space. I've got an 8' bed and still think thats a lot of lost area. If I'm out on an extended trail ride (without my trailer) my bed is filled with all kids of stuff. I sometimes sleep in the back of my truck too and that wouldn't work.

Ya, but that limits your towing capacity signifigantly. I personally like the bed mount that tiregate makes but the one by Warrior looks good too

I agree with the towing capacity but you can take it off when ever you want and if you're going to tow something small it has another hitch.....

i think i am going to go with the VT tire gate. i pull trailers a lot so the HG would probably get in the way and if i mounted it in the bed it would take up to much space. if anyone finds anything else let me know. thanks for everyones input
