I have a 2011 Chevy Silverado and im fixin to install an aftermarket satellite radio. I do not want to use the cigarette lighters, I want to tap into a switched power source. Any advice on where to find pictures of how to remove the dash and which wire I can tap into for a switched source? I'm just looking for any information that may help. Also, I have a crappy picture of my dash so you know exactly what I have. Thanks!

That didnt come with XM capable stock head unit?????

You can tap the power from your aux POWER ports and hide the power adapter and stuff behind the dash. They may be constant for power however. Or you could tap the power for the radio. I did that on one of my Dodge trucks.

Use some wire taps like this to tap the power and ground.

But if it were me and depending on how long you have had the truck....I would ask the dealer to give you a Head Unit that has XM!
