Does anyone have any recommendations, solutions and/or pictures of a 2011 Crew Cab Silverado with subwoofers. The new, fold up, seats have a very tight clearance between the back wall and the seats. I don't think any boxes fit in there and a custom box could still pose an issue.

The back seats aren't a full bench, but rather a dual and single fold up. I've been thinking about cutting out the bottom of the seats and attempting to build as sub box within the bottom of the seat. I have seen this in a jeep via youtube but not in a truck yet.

I do not want to put anything on the floor of my truck. I regularly have my dogs in the truck with the back seats folded up.

I'm open to any and all ideas and would appreciate feedback.

I had the same issue with my 2010, i couldnt find a good spot for the placement of a sub. I had a custom box made so that the sub sits on the middle seat and then goes to the floor. Nobody likes sitting in the middle anyways so i figured it wouldnt be that big of a deal with it there, however this application wouldnt work for you because I'm unable to fold the seat up without taking the box out. When i originally went to my local shop they suggested that i take my seats out and have a fab shop remount the seat brackets a couple inches higher to provide more clearance under the seat. I wasnt too enthusiastic about doing that so i went with the custom box. If you were to go this route i would suggest getting downfiring subs because you def dont want your dogs walking on the cones lol.

Your pretty limited if you don't want anything on the floor in the back. Your only option is stealth box under your middle front seat. My 08 sierra has the same rear seat design as yours. I tried a custom box under the the seat but it didn't sound like I wanted it. It was ok for an average person but it wasnt what I wanted.

You actually have one other option- how attached are you to the bed of your truck!! :)

How big of a sub setup are you looking for? If you don't need storage in the rear doors, you could probably fab up some in-door enclosures for either a 6.5" or maybe even 8" sub in each door.

yeah they make enclosures to fit under the center console in the front seat jl makes one but it is like 540 bucks.search around there are cheaper ones they usually fit one 10 inch sub.i have the 2 10's under the back seat and i think it sounds pretty good. If i take the dogs anywhere they usually ride in the bed cuz they are so destructive.they dont make a box for that year for behind the seat though there is barely enough room back there to make room for an amp rack.

Go the CUSTOM route. Start by searching your nearestmajor metro areas for custom audio shops. It is not hard for a stereo shop to get SHALLOW depth subs and build a box and amp rack that can be covered eith plexiglass so that your dogs can stand on it without hurting it. All they need to know is what your music preferences are for setup of the box and your utility need of the space of your extended cab. Just because it is a custom shop doenst mean it will be expensive. Every shop has a product for every budget!!!!
