Just like the title says. My dad is on a trip, cut 2 tires. Instead of buying new 2 new 265s he went ahead and bought 4 285s. How much will his speedo be off? He's wanting to know before the return trip, so he don't get into trouble. Thanks for the help.

The speedo will read 2.1mph too fast at 60mph. Use this calculator: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html. Note the speedo info under the ugly tire image. Also understand that at slower speeds the mph error is less than 2.1mph ... and at greater speeds the mph error increases.
