My family and I inherited a 34 or 36 Chevy truck from my grandfather. The title says 36 but we have had people tell us 34 and some say 36. If anyone knows the definite difference in the two or a sure way to tell them apart that would be great. IMG_20130731_090426_996.jpg IMG_20130731_090441_769.jpg IMG_20130731_090642_182.jpg

How legit is the truck? As in, is it all authentic or could it be a '34 with '36 parts on it, thus the confussion when people see it?

Cool looking truck either way. :great:

It might be true it has a ford 302 in it with a Camaro rear end and the seats are unknown. Thanks we are thinking of just clear coating it and cleaning it up since it is pretty dirty inside and under the hood.

That was my thought in the beginning: that truck looks to have a lot of work/modding done to it. And that is confirmed with the fact that it has a Ford engine it. Can it really be called a '34 or '36 at all, at this point? It's not really any particular year or manufacturer.

The cab is definately a 36, front fenders look closer to 36 than a 34, rear fenders are so close its hard to tell.
Google images for the two year trucks and look at the roof line over the doors and the top front edge of the cab.

Definitely a pieced together job if you've got a Ford powerplant for sure. Great style on that though.
